Our week 5 NFL predictions could have gone a bit better, but a 7-6 record is nothing to scoff at. That makes it 2 weeks in a row where our predictions have had a winning record and we'll aim to continue the hot streak in week 6. Listed below are all of the matchups coming up this weekend and our predictions will sort out what should be a crazy week of NFL action.
Record against the point spread: 23-19
Cincinnati Bengals -1.5 at Cleveland Browns
The Browns are due for a win and the Bengals have been just inconsistent enough to give them one.
Indianapolis Colts at New York Jets -3.5
New York has some big injuries to deal with but they match up perfectly against a Colts team that can't stop the run. Look for the Jets to win big.
Kansas City Chiefs at Tampa Bay Buccaneers -4
Tampa Bay's offense will finally be able to run the ball and that will give them the win by 7 or more.
Oakland Raiders at Atlanta Falcons -9
The Raiders have plenty of issues but I think they have enough of a rushing attack to keep this one within the point spread.
Dallas Cowboys at Baltimore Ravens -3.5
Dallas needs a win here but I don't think they get it. That being said, they lose by only 3 and cover the odds.
Detroit Lions at Philadelphia Eagles -3.5
The Lions have had an extra week to prepare and should pressure Vick into plenty of mistakes while winning outright.
St. Louis Rams at Miami Dolphins -4
Miami has looked better recently but they have no business being 4-point favorites against a team that is probably better than them.
New England Patriots -3.5 at Seattle Seahawks
People keep sleeping on the Seahawks and we just keep betting on them and racking up the money.
Buffalo Bills at Arizona Cardinals -4.5
The Bills can't score against above-average defenses and Arizona should win by double digits in the desert.
Minnesota Vikings at Washington Redskins -2.5
The Vikings have a great offense but I'm not sure anyone can stop Robert Griffin III. That being said, the Vikings win by 7 in a high-scoring game.
New York Giants at San Francisco 49ers -6.5
San Francisco might be the best team in the NFL but they are taking on another great team and I have to go with the road underdog who beat them in the playoffs last year in this stadium.
Green Bay Packers at Houston Texans -4
Green Bay is ready to go on a big roll and they'll start with an outright win over the undefeated Texans.
Denver Broncos at San Diego Chargers -1.5
The Broncos are a class above the Chargers and this might be the last time they are underdogs against their AFC West foes all year.
