Our plays went just 4-6 in week 9 after a couple of bad breaks doomed us to a losing record. Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson left before halftime in a game where we chose the Wolverines, while another team we bet on, TCU, lost quarterback Trevone Boykin to an injury as well. There were some good picks mixed in such as choosing Michigan State and Arizona to win outright despite being listed as 6 and 6.5-point underdogs respectively, but ultimately we lost money and will look to improve in week 10.
Record against the point spread: 24-25
Alabama -9 at LSU
The Tigers have been iffy on defense against much lesser teams and are going to get blown out like they did in the BCS Championship Game last year. Go with Alabama.
Arizona State at Oregon State -4.5
Oregon State is about the only team that plays defense in the Pac-12 and that will get them the win as they cover the point spread on Saturday against the Sun Devils.
Nebraska -2 at Michigan State
The Cornhuskers are going to fall apart against this strong defense and I see the Spartans once again winning outright as underdogs.
Pittsburgh at Notre Dame -16.5
I don't see how the Panthers keep this close. Notre Dame looked great last weekend and should dominate. That being said, everyone is on the Fighting Irish this week and the odds makers don't give out freebies like this appears to be. Go with Pittsburgh and against the consensus as a general rule. Fighting Irish by only 6.
Oklahoma State at Kansas State -9.5
The Wildcats and the Cowboys are both capable of scoring a million points here and I believe we'll see a high-scoring affair and a potential huge upset. Oklahoma State can keep this one close.
Texas at Texas Tech -7.5
The Red Raiders are playing some good football recently and finally have a defense, but ultimately the Longhorns have some weapons of their own and there is no way I'm laying over a touchdown in a rivalry game. I will be on Texas.
Oregon -8 at USC
USC ruined Oregon's title hopes last season and they are capable of doing the same again this year. The Ducks are overrated and still have big holes on defense. If the Trojans don't make stupid mistakes like they have at times this year they'll win this game outright.
