NFL Odds Preview - Week 10 Predictions
By Jake Thompson

Aaron RodgersAlthough we didn't do as well as expected thanks to a couple of close calls, ultimately we pulled a winning record in week 9.  We called the outright upset of the Carolina Panthers over the Washington Redskins, as well as the Pittsburgh Steelers winning on the road against the New York Giants.  The final tally for week 9 was 8-6 and it adds to an impressive season-long record that we hope to improve on with the week 10 NFL predictions listed below.

Record against the point spread: 56-38

Indianapolis Colts -3.5 at Jacksonville Jaguars

The Colts are winning games lately but still don't have a defense.  Jacksonville runs the ball while potentially winning outright here.

Buffalo Bills at New England Patriots -11

New England is likely to score 40 or so here, but the Bills can put up big points as well against lesser defenses and this game should be close.

New York Giants -4 at Cincinnati Bengals

I don't believe the Bengals are ready to take on a team this balanced and would look for the Giants to take advantage of mistakes while covering the point spread.

San Diego Chargers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers -3

Tampa Bay is the hotter team right now and they are playing at home.  The Chargers are due for a turnaround soon, but I can't resist taking the Buccaneers here.

Denver Broncos -4 at Carolina Panthers

Carolina has nothing to offer the Broncos and will completely fall apart when Peyton Manning and company get an early lead.

Tennessee Titans at Miami Dolphins -6

Miami played poorly last time out but they should rebound in a big way against one of the worst teams in the NFL.  Look for the Dolphins to run the ball at will while winning by double digits.

Oakland Raiders at Baltimore Ravens -7.5

The Ravens are mistake-prone this year, but the Raiders are a mess on both sides of the ball and will make massive errors at some point.  Go with Baltimore to win by 10 or more.

Atlanta Falcons -2.5 at New Orleans Saints

The Falcons will likely lose their first game of the season here.  New Orleans is finally playing better after a sloppy start and they are tough to beat when at home.  Take them as the underdog.

Detroit Lions -3 at Minnesota Vikings

The Lions simply have too many holes to be favored on the road in this rivalry game.  Minnesota hasn't played well lately but they are still the better team as far as I'm concerned.

New York Jets at Seattle Seahawks -6

New York can't score on top defenses and Seattle is a top defense.  Look for the Seahawks to win in a rout in the easiest wagering winner of the weekend.

Dallas Cowboys -1.5 at Philadelphia Eagles

The battle of the turnover-prone quarterbacks will end with the Eagles kicking a late field goal for the win and the cover.

St. Louis Rams at San Francisco 49ers -11

San Francisco should frustrate the Rams' offense, but ultimately I can't trust the 49ers offense to score enough points to cover this large spread.  Go with the Rams to lose by a final score of 6-13 or so.

Houston Texans at Chicago Bears -1

Chicago has big-time offensive line issues and I believe their defense is a bit overrated.  Look for the Texans to pressure Cutler in an easy road victory for Houston.

Kansas City Chiefs at Pittsburgh Steelers -12.5

Pittsburgh will score at will here with the way they are running the ball lately and I just don't think the Chiefs have an answer.
