2013 Team Needs: AFC East
By Matt Horkman

Buffalo Bills
Unable to deliver on its fan base’s playoff expectations, Buffalo dismissed Chan Gailey as head coach. They made another out of the box hire, though, with Syracuse’s Doug Marrone. His first order of business should be identifying Buffalo’s future quarterback. The Bills have gotten all they can out of Ryan Fitzpatrick, so the time to move on is drawing near. The offense would also get a significant lift from a possession wide receiver opposite of Steve Johnson. Defensively, Jairus Byrd may test free agency and his departure would leave a job opening at free safety. In addition, Mark Anderson was a disappointment, so don’t be surprise if Buffalo invests money or a high pick in a pass rusher for the second consecutive off-season.

Team Needs: DE, FS, QB, & WR

Miami Dolphins
With QB Ryan Tannehill putting his hold on the starting job, Miami must make it a priority to surround their young quarterback with playmakers. It starts with pass-catchers, as rumors suggest the Dolphins may add a No. 1 wide receiver (Greg Jennings) through free agency. Adding a tight end would also upgrade a shoddy passing attack. Miami’s pass defense finished 27th a year ago, so finding a corner opposite of Sean Smith and a pass rusher opposite of Cameron Wake could lead to a quick turnaround in South Beach.

Team Needs: CB, DE, TE, & WR

New England Patriots
The Patriots didn’t seem themselves this season, despite winning 12 games. I know how that reads, but they struggled against inferior opponents (namely the Jets and Jaguars), and that’s uncharacteristic of Bill Belichick teams. The defense has held them back for a couple seasons now. They could use a pass rushing defensive end, in addition to a defensive taTom Brady & Brandon Lloydckle to pair with Vince Wilfork. The secondary is also in need to retooling. You need at least three quality corners with most teams spreading the field. The Pats may also look into finding a free safety to play next to Devin McCourty. Offensively, the future of Wes Welker and Brandon Lloyd are unknown, so it might be time for new blood to receiving an opportunity to play with Tom Brady.

Team Needs: CB, DL, FS, & WR

New York Jets
Even causal football fans recognize New York’s problems start on the offensive side of the ball. Mark Sanchez is regressing rather than progressing, so the time is ripe to find some competition. In addition, Santonio Holmes isn’t a No. 1 wideout, which is one of many reasons why Pittsburgh traded him. The Jets should find a more reliable No. 1 wide receiver. Rex Ryan prides himself on ground and pound football, yet they don’t have much talent at running back. This team needs a bell cow and Shonn Greene is not the answer. Don’t be surprised if they invest an early pick (first or second) on fixing this shameful error. As is tradition, look for the media to link the Jets to many pass rushing outside linebackers available in free agency or the draft.

Team Needs OLB, QB, RB, & WR
