Week 8 of the college football season is here and there are a ton of intruiging matchups on the schedule to go over. We'll preview all of the important matchups and then make predictions against the betting odds that Las Vegas sportsbooks have up on the clashes. I sense a big week coming and hope you will all be along for the ride.
College Football Year-to-Date Record: 19-22
South Carolina -7 at Tennessee
The Volunteers have been playing much better football of late but ultimately I think South Carolina is better on both sides of the ball and will win by double digits.
Georgia -7 at Vanderbilt
This looks like a high-scoring game since neither team has a defense capable of stopping opponents. Georgia has the better offense and even on the road I think they can win by more than 7 points while scoring at least 40.
Florida -3 at Missouri
Missouri lost their starting quarterback in week 7 but still has the dominant defense that should hold Florida to around 10-13 points. That being said, the Gators have an excellent defense of their own. This could go either way and you should take the points on the home underdog.
Auburn at Texas A&M -14
Auburn's offense is capable of scoring just as many times as the Aggies and this could be an outright upset in a high-scoring game that could eclipse 100 total points.
Iowa at Ohio State -17.5
The Hawkeyes have a nice running game and defense but they are going up against a team that will simply overpower them here. The Buckeyes have some defensive issues but I just can't see Iowa taking advantage of them fully. Go with Ohio State to win big at home.
UCLA at Stanford -5
Stanford makes so few mistakes that it's almost impossible to beat them. UCLA has the hot offense and looks like a nice squad but traveling for this game will be too much for them as they lose by 8.
Washington at Arizona State -3.5
This is a very interesting Pac 12 matchup. Washington has the better defense and a very capable offense, but Arizona State has scored at will against most of the teams they've gone up against. Ultimately I think the Huskies are a more complete team and will win outright.
Arkansas at Alabama -28
The Razorbacks are in way over their heads here. Arkansas won't move the ball and their defense isn't good enough to stop Alabama from running up the score.
LSU -10 at Ole Miss
The Rebels have constantly let me down this season but LSU's defense is uncharacteristically bad so I think Ole Miss can keep the game close in a high-scoring affair.
Florida State -3 at Clemson
Clemson falters in big games every year and I think they have the 2nd best offense in this matchup. Florida State is better defensively as well and the road team should win big.
