Week 8 of the NFL season might be the toughest set of games on the schedule this year to make predictions on but we will do our best to bring you all some winning wagers. Our week 7 NFL predictions went just 5-8 and the season definitely hasn't started out like we had planned. There is still plenty of time to turn it around and we'll start with week 8.
NFL Record Year-to-Date: 33-42
Carolina Panthers -7 at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tampa Bay has played well defensively but their offense is struggling and without Doug Martin. The Buccaneers will struggle to score any points at all so go with the Panthers.
San Francisco 49ers -16.5 at Jacksonville Jaguars
You just can't count on the Jaguars to play well on either side of the ball. Even at home, take the surging 49ers as large favorites.
Dallas Cowboys at Detroit Lions -3
Tony Romo and the Cowboys are just about due for a bad game and on the road here could be where it happens. The Lions should be able to move the ball at will here and win by a touchdown or more.
New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles -6
The Giants are so lost and injured on offense that playing one of the worst defenses in the NFL won't matter. Philadelphia routs New York here with Michael Vick back at quarterback.
Cleveland Browns at Kansas City Chiefs -7.5
Kansas City has played well but their offense is only average at best and I think Cleveland can keep this game close while potentially pulling the outright upset.
Buffalo Bills at New Orleans Saints -11
The Bills continue to surpass expectations but going on the road in this tough environment is likely to be too much for them to overcome. New Orleans gets a big lead whether or not Jimmy Graham plays and they coast from there.
Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots -6.5
The Patriots are a much improved team with Rob Gronkowski back in the mix, and now Danny Amendola might be ready to come back from his concussion to make them even scarier. Look for New England to win big at home.
New York Jets at Cincinnati Bengals -6.5
Geno Smith has done well at times but he's also been a mess on the road. I think he plays like the rookie he is in this game and the Bengals rout the Jets by at least 14.
Pittsburgh Steelers -2.5 at Oakland Raiders
Oakland isn't going to be able to move the ball at all here. Look for Pittsburgh to win big in one of the few matchups they can dominate in.
Washington Redskins at Denver Broncos -12.5
The Broncos can name their score here against a bad defense and I just can't see Washington keeping up. Robert Griffin III is shaking off the rust but he's not there yet and I think Denver wins by 20.
Atlanta Falcons at Arizona Cardinals -2.5
The Cardinals are tough as nails in the desert and Atlanta could be in for a rough game on Sunday. Look for Arizona to exploit the poor Falcons secondary while winning by at least a field goal.
Green Bay Packers -9 at Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings aren't as bad as they looked on Monday Night Football but they aren't particularly good either. Green Bay is extremely injured on offense so I'll go with Minnesota to keep this close and lose by only 4.
Seattle Seahawks -11 at St. Louis Rams
The odds makers keep forgetting that Seattle usually doesn't play well on the road. Their offense bogs down and they make key mistakes. That being said, the Rams won't be able to move the ball at all so you have to go with Seattle.
