Week 8 of the NFL season treated us well and we finished up with a record of 8-5. We are at the point in the season where it's easier to make predictions since we know what to expect of each NFL team and will aim for an even strong result in week 9.
NFL Record Year-to-Date: 41-47
Cincinnati Bengals -3 at Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins are quite injured on offense and I think they get blown out at home against an improving Bengals squad.
Atlanta Falcons at Carolina Panthers -7.5
The Falcons are so bad right now on both sides of the ball and I just can't see them moving the ball against Carolina's underrated offense. Go with the Panthers to win big at home.
Minnesota Vikings at Dallas Cowboys -10
Minnesota still doesn't have a quarterback that can move the ball and Dallas' defense has shown improvement in recent weeks. Go with Dallas to score 40 in an easy win at home.
New Orleans Saints -6 at New York Jets
The Jets play much better at home and should be able to run the ball which is about the only way their offense is successful. Go with New York to pull the outright upset.
Tennessee Titans -3 at St. Louis Rams
St. Louis still has a nice defense but their offense isn't a threat to move the ball with Kellen Clemens behind center. That being said, Tennessee won't move the ball much here either so go with the home underdog.
Kansas City Chiefs -3 at Buffalo Bills
The Chiefs have been winning but haven't been impressive and their luck finally runs out here. The Bills will run for big yardage while handing Kansas City their first loss.
San Diego Chargers -1 at Washington Redskins
Robert Griffin III is looking more willing to run lately so I'll take the Redskins as an underdog at home against a middle of the road squad like the Chargers.
Philadelphia Eagles at Oakland Raiders -2.5
Oakland hasn't deserved a few of their recent wins and I still think they are a bottom 5 NFL team. Go with the Eagles and quarterback Nick Foles in this one.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Seattle Seahawks -16
The Buccaneers will be lucky to get past midfield here as the Seahawks win in a rout.
Baltimore Ravens -2.5 at Cleveland Browns
The Ravens ruined their team when they gave Joe Flacco that big contract because now they have holes at numerous spots. Take the Browns to win outright at home.
Pittsburgh Steelers at New England Patriots -6.5
Pittsburgh can play defense and keep this one close. The Patriots have quite a few injuries on defense and this is a tossup so go with the underdog.
Indianapolis Colts -2.5 at Houston Texans
Houston is going for run for more than 200 yards in this game and the Colts' defense is not nearly as good as they have looked at times. I like the Texans to win outright.
Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers -11
The Packers don't have a top defense and Chicago can score here even with their backup quarterback. I think this NFC North rivalry game stays close.
