We did alright with our week 9 college football predictions, although we were expecting a better result. We correctly called Maryland staying close to Clemson, Alabama winning big, and Stanford taking out Oregon State but lost when we thought Penn State could play with Ohio State and UCLA had a shot at beating Oregon.
College Football Year-to-Date Record: 28-31
Tennessee at Missouri -10.5
The Tigers have one of the best defenses in college football and I can't see the Volunteers scoring much with a freshman quarterback. Dobbs is solid but has no experience so go with Missouri to win big.
Georgia -3 at Florida
Georgia can score but has no defense. Florida has a great defense but can't score. Ultimately I trust the Bulldogs more in this SEC matchup so go with them.
Miami (FL) at Florida State -21
This might be the biggest mismatch ever between two undefeated top 10 college football teams. Go with the Seminoles to win easily because Miami won't be able to move the ball at all here.
Michigan at Michigan State -4.5
The Wolverines' offense doesn't impress me but it remains to be seen if Michigan State can score enough points to cover this small points pread. I don't like this Michigan squad much but they match up well against the Spartans.
Navy at Notre Dame -15
The Fighting Irish aren't nearly as strong defensively as they were last season and their offense isn't great either. I think Navy's option rushing attack can grind the clock and keep the score close in this rivalry game.
Oklahoma State -1 at Texas Tech
The Cowboys are the more talented team but they are also the more mistake prone team. Go with the Red Raiders at home to avoid turnovers while covering the point spread.
Nevada at Fresno State -21
Fresno State has a nice offense but they can't stop anyone from scoring a million points against them. Nevada covers the odds here and possibly wins outright in a shootout.
