The 2013 NFL season hasn't gone quite as well as last year when bettors that put $100 on all of our predictions would have been up around $3000, but so far we've rewarded our readers with over $1200 in profit and there is still plenty of time to go. Our week 15 NFL predictions went 8-6-1 against the point spread odds in Las Vegas which marks around our 4th or 5th straight winning week. Let's take a look at the week 16 odds below and be sure to let us know if you agree with the predictions.
NFL Record Year-to-Date: 91-77-4
Miami Dolphins -2.5 at Buffalo Bills
The Dolphins still have some offensive line issues to address but their defense can stop the Bills. Buffalo can't stop anyone so I like Miami here.
New Orleans Saints at Carolina Panthers -3
The Saints don't play well on the road and they don't play well against top defenses. Look for Carolina to win comfortably.
Dallas Cowboys -3 at Washington Redskins
Washington can move the ball and Dallas can't stop anyone but ultimately the Cowboys need this win more. For once Tony Romo doesn't screw this up and Dallas wins by 6.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at St. Louis Rams -5
The Buccaneers are a much improved team but St. Louis has shown a bit of improvement themselves recently. Ultimately I think the Rams at home are going to be too much as they win by 10.
Chicago Bears at Philadelphia Eagles -3
The battle of defenses that can't stop anyone could go either way but ultimately I like the Bears as an underdog in a shootout.
Cleveland Browns at New York Jets -2.5
New York hasn't been able to move the ball well all season and now their defense is tanking as well. Cleveland still cares and they'll pull off the upset.
Indianapolis Colts at Kansas City Chiefs -6.5
The Chiefs are down a couple of important defensive players but Indianapolis is a bit mistake prone on both sides of the ball recently. Ultimately I'm going with the Colts as they'll likely lose by only 3 or 4.
Minnesota Vikings at Cincinnati Bengals -7
Minnesota pulled off the upset last week against the Eagles but Cincinnati has a pulse on defense so things should turn out much differently here. The Bengals win by 20 or more as the biggest blowout of the week.
Denver Broncos -10.5 at Houston Texans
I've wasted so much money on the Texans that I'm not about to stop now. They have the talent to win this game outright but will probably find a way to lose by 40. Anyway, Houston is the choice.
Tennessee Titans -5.5 at Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars have defensive issues but the Titans don't move the ball well enough to take advantage. Go with Jacksonville to get the win at home in a close game.
Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks -10.5
The Cardinals might be without Carson Palmer and Larry Fitzgerald here and even if both stars suit up Arizona won't move the ball. Seattle might only win by 10 if both play but if one sits the Seahawks will cover the odds so go with the home favorite.
New York Giants at Detroit Lions -9
These squads both find ways to lose games but Detroit is at home and more trustworthy on both sides of the ball. The Lions don't choke this one away and win by 14.
Oakland Raiders at San Diego Chargers -10
San Diego has been impressive this season but they don't excel on either side of the ball. Oakland should keep the score close in this divisional rivalry game.
New England Patriots at Baltimore Ravens -2.5
The Patriots find ways to win games and should do so again despite being down a few weapons. Baltimore is not the team that won the Super Bowl last year and I'm not going against Tom Brady.
Atlanta Falcons at SanFrancisco 49ers -11.5
The 49ers won't let the Falcons score many points here and since Atlanta can't stop anyone, the play to make is on San Francisco winning by 17.
NOTE: Once again there are no odds up on the game involving the Green Bay Packers as they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers. Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers is a question mark to play and, as such, we won't be making week 16 NFL predictions on this matchup.
