Our college football bowl game predictions started off with a bang as we went 5-2 with one loss that was a bit iffy. BYU outgained Washington by over 150 total yards but still couldn't cover the point spread as underdogs for us. There are still plenty of incredible bowl game matchups left on the college football schedule and we'll kick off part 2 of our predictions with some more winners.
College Football Year-to-Date Record: 41-41-1
Bowl Game Record: 5-2
Rutgers at Notre Dame -14.5
Notre Dame's defense is not nearly as good as last year and their offense still isn't trustworthy. Catching over 2 touchdowns with a solid team like Rutgers seems like the right move.
Cincinnati at North Carolina -2.5
North Carolina has again suffered some big injuries this season but they are favored here for a reason. Cincinnati is overrated and I don't think they can compete with the Tar Heels.
Russell Athletic Bowl
Miami Florida at Louisville -4.5
I think Teddy Bridgewater is the next great NFL quarterback but the fact remains he's playing behind an iffy offensive line. Miami Florida has a ton of returning talent and will only lose by a field goal if they don't win outright.
Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl
Michigan at Kansas State -5.5
The Wolverines are a mess and I think Kansas State can win easily here. The Wildcats have a ton of returning talent and they have looked strong on both sides of the ball recently. I have no faith in Michigan and will call for them to lose by 13.
Armed Forces Bowl
Middle Tennessee State at Navy -6
Navy's ground game gives many teams that haven't played a team like theirs fits. Middle Tennessee State has quite a few problems on both sides of the ball and I think the Midshipmen can grind out a double digit victory.
Music City Bowl
Ole Miss -3 at Georgia Tech
The Yellow Jackets played a tight game against another SEC team in Georgia but I don't believe they can score as easily against the Rebels. Ole Miss has the better coaching staff and I think they can cover this 3-point spread.
Texas at Oregon -13.5
Texas will be fighting hard to send Mack Brown off on a high note but they don't have a chance. The Longhorns don't play defense and Oregon's offense will put up 50-60 without breaking a sweat.
Texas Tech at Arizona State -14
Arizona State is an offensive powerhouse but they haven't played many offenses that can move the ball like the Red Raiders can. Go with Texas Tech to keep the score within single digits in a shootout.
