Our NFL Playoff predictions stayed as hot as the end-of-the-year regular season picks as we went 3-1 in the wild card round while correctly choosing the San Francisco 49ers, New Orleans Saints, and Kansas City Chiefs. Our lone loss in the first round of the NFL Playoffs was a bet on the Cincinnati Bengals who played their worst game of the season, but we are happy with 75% winners to kick off the postseason. There are 4 more incredible matchups in the second round of the NFL Playoffs and we'll make predictions on them now.
NFL Record Year-to-Date: 110-93-4
New Orleans Saints at Seattle Seahawks -8
The Saints have played notoriously bad on the road and Seattle is one of the toughest places in the NFL to play. Although I don't expect New Orleans to win, I think they can use their passing attack to stay within this large point spread. Seattle's offense has been rough lately and we'll call for the Seahawks to only win by 4.
Indianapolis Colts at New England Patriots -7.5
The Patriots' offense without Rob Gronkowski just isn't that solid and I think the point spread is too high here. Andrew Luck is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL and he'll have his team ready to stay competitive against Tom Brady and company. Look for New England to kick a last second field goal to advance.
San Francisco 49ers -2 at Carolina Panthers
The 49ers have been the best team in the NFL over the last month and a half but they struggled to move the ball against this incredible Panthers' defense earlier in the season. That being said, Carolina struggled to move the ball as well and now have key injuries to Steve Smith and Jonathan Stewart while San Francisco has their playmakers healthy. The 49ers get revenge here with a big road win.
San Diego Chargers at Denver Broncos -10
San Diego looked great in round 1 and defeated Denver in the regular season but they are going to lose by 20 or more on Sunday. The Chargers have holes and Peyton Manning and company won't choke the game away like Andy Dalton and his Cincinnati Bengals teammates did last week. Denver wins 41-20.
